The Most Efficient Way to Score High in a Short Time

A ONE Institute

Jun 26, 2024

Today, I will talk about how to achieve maximum efficiency in a short period to score high on exams.

The reality is that our students lack study time due to many activities. Therefore, situations arise where they need to seek help from others to produce significant output in a short time.

I will suggest methods that can be tried without such help. All academic activities that require exams, such as GPA, SAT, AP, AMC, etc., take the form of exams, so the method I will tell you today will apply to everything. I will explain based on the most difficult subject to study, mathematics. However, the premise you should know while reading is that you cannot perform without studying a certain amount, so the prerequisite is that you should be studying a necessary moderate amount.

I will explain based on the most commonly prepared SAT MATH. When you take the exam after studying a certain amount, you will get a few questions wrong. Let’s look at how students handle wrong answers and talk about effective methods.

In the case of most students

Most students finish the review by trying to solve the wrong problem once more on their own. Most will review the wrong answer in this way, but in this case, the probability of getting it wrong again is very high if a similar problem comes out.

In the case of students who study more analytically

Students who study more analytically divide the problems by chapter to study. For example, if you base SAT Math on the A-One Institute textbook, it is divided into 14 chapters. When you see the exam questions, if the student recognizes the problem by chapter, they are often good at studying. Suppose such students get all three of the above problems wrong, for example, Unlike the majority of students who roughly solve and pass. In that case, They analyze which chapter the wrong problem was in, prepare for similar types, and organize the wrong answers. They look up the wrong problem in the basic book again and prepare for the next exam. Then, you will significantly reduce the probability of getting it wrong.

In the case of students with a high level of learning method

What about students who are preparing at a higher level than this? In a state where 14 chapters are divided into SAT Math, each chapter is well distinguished by sub-chapters. In our institute, there are 102 sub-chapters within 14 chapters.

For example, if this student got it wrong in the 3rd chapter highlighted in blue, it is important to know the sub-chapter of that chapter. Students who know and study with a high level of learning method will analyze and review the problems of more subdivided sub-chapters within the chapter and study again.

In fact, to study like this, textbooks and basic books must be well organized.

If the sub-chapters inside the basic book’s chapter are densely divided, it is very good. Textbooks that are lumped together can be difficult to study at a high level, so textbooks are very important. I explained using SAT Math as an example, but in fact, the same application is needed for other subjects. It is important to densely organize sub-chapters according to the content of subjects other than mathematics.

Our A-One Institute’s own textbook has tried to divide the sub-chapters as densely as possible for all subjects. Even if the basic book textbook is not densely divided, it is important for the student to divide it themselves. In fact, as you divide the learning content, it may feel like it takes more study time, but you will find that the study time dramatically decreases as a result. In the end, analysis and classification! This is the most effective way to raise grades.

If you don’t know when solving the problems of the SAT basic book, Bluebook, released by the College Board, rather than simply knowing that this problem is chapter number, divide the chapter according to the sub-chapter, and the wrong problem came out in sub-chapter 3 of chapter 1, or sub-chapter 5 of chapter 10. I urge you to classify and analyze it.

Analysis & Classification

No matter what exam you are taking, if you want to shorten your study time and maximize your score (assuming a reasonable amount of study), You must do the work of analysis and classification. If you study like this, your study time will dramatically decrease and you will get good results. Also, as you do this analysis and classification work, I have no doubt that you will become an excellent student who has a framework for thinking analytically and classifying. No matter what exam you are facing,

I hope you achieve good results in a short period of time through the analysis and classification work I told you about today.

We, at A-One Institute, are helping students’ studies through subdivided proprietary textbooks. Thank you for your inquiry about any questions you may have.
